Engineering Maintenance Technician

WJZ-TV has an immediate opening for a Engineering Maintenance Technician.


Troubleshoot and repair a variety of professional broadcast video, computer and RF transmission equipment. May also be involved with installation and maintenance of IP-based systems and servers. Ability to read schematics and understand technical manuals required. Must be able to work day or night shifts.

Various other Television Broadcast/Production Equipment

Qualifications, Required:

Applicant should have a minimum of 5 years television broadcast maintenance experience with strong hands-on capability operating and repairing studio and ENG equipment; including News vans and Satellite trucks. Experience with non-linear editing systems and station automation. Computer networking and video servers experience a plus. Participation in technical projects including installation, wiring, integration, testing and troubleshooting a must. Applicant should be familiar with basic video and RF test equipment and troubleshooting techniques. Must have the ability to work independently and/or with a team and work under deadlines.
