Jobdescription The Salem Media Group of Washington DC is seeking a person who would like to learn about advertising sales and start a new and exciting career. Having sales related experience in your background is a plus but not required. We offer a unique career opportunity, one where you will develop and maintain relations with potential clients.

The candidate should possess exceptional communication skills, be creative, goal driven with the ability to multi-task. We will train the right person to learn about advertising sales if he/she possess the basic skills and talents needed to perform in this position.

This person will work with local businesses to develop new business and oversee the execution of multi-faceted campaigns using online, social media, broadcast and other cutting-edge media. Ability to get through to and communicate comfortably with top business executives is needed.

Candidates are expected to work with a variety of clients, excel in a fast-paced environment, demonstrate the ability to effectively consult with clients to help produce new revenue opportunities for the Salem Media Group of Washington, DC. Strong computer skills are required. Excellent oral and written communications are critical.

You would work closely with your Local Sales Manager to learn how to close your deals. You would generate new business through cold calling to build your book of business/long lasting relationships from the ground up so you are consistently exceeding sales quotas and goals.

Candidates must have a valid Driver’s License and a clean driving record. No relocation offered.
