- Degree in Communications, Journalism, or related field, preferred.
- Minimum five (5) years experience in network or major market news as Producer or Editor preferred.
- Strong management skills with the ability to develop and maintain effective communication with staff personnel and co-workers.
- Computer and Internet literate.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Project an appropriate professional appearance and demeanor.
- Ability to work in compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Ability to function in a team environment.
- Ability to work established schedule and other hours as needed.
POSTION SUMMARY:
Help oversee day-to-day operations of the News Department to ensure quality, saleable, highly rated radio content that establishes the Station as the dominant broadcast source of quality news, sports, information and community involvement.

- Develop, create and distribute timely and compelling content across all platforms.
- Decision making for breaking news.
- Assign, coordinate and supervise reporters, writers and anchors.
- Quality control of audio for air and web.
- Develop story ideas through personal observation, news services, wire services, newspapers, magazines, listeners, and online resources.
- Supervise weekend staff, ensuring individual growth of staff members.
