Governors Hogan & Carney Close Non-Essential Businesses; Broadcasters Considered Essential Businesses

Today, Maryland's Governor Hogan issued an executive order that closes all non-essential businesses as of 5 pm today.  Please see the executive order here.  Note on Page 5, the order reads "...For avoidance of doubt, this Order does not require the closure of...Any newspaper, television, radio, or other media service..."

Yesterday, Delaware's Governor Carney issued an executive order that closes all non-essential businesses as of 8 am Tuesday.  On page 11, news media were also listed as essential businesses, albeit under a more vague news media service exemption.  Please read the order here.  

Please print a copy of these Executive Orders and provide to your staff to have at all times in case they are questioned about their travel to work.
