Position Director of Technical Operations - Audacy
Jobdescription Audacy seeks a talented and energetic individual to serve as Director of Technical Operations for our Baltimore market.

Responsibilities:

-Manage the Technical and IT Operations for a Top 25 Market AM/FM Radio Station Cluster

-Supervise Local Engineering and IT staff

-Manage Technical budgets

-Project planning, management and execution

-Maintain integrity of on-air product for 100% reliability

What You'll Do:

-Work directly with Market Department Heads and Corporate Management teams

-Plan, maintain and develop all aspects of broadcast technical facilities

-Maintain, inspect and repair all broadcast radio station equipment, including transmitters, antenna’s, satellite downlinks, network infrastructure, automation systems, studio equipment, AOIP networks, UPS’s, remote control equipment, generators and towers

-Install technical equipment & systems at studios and transmitter sites in keeping with good engineering practices.

-Maintain and Review weekly transmitter and studio logs for correct and complete entries per F.C.C. Rules and Regulations

-Create instructional materials and train others on proper operation of technical equipment.

-Server installations, maintenance and desktop computer support


Qualifications - Required and Preferred:

-Minimum 10 years broadcast engineering experience

-Must have at least four years of college or technical school and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

-FM master antenna and combiner experience preferred

-AM Directional Antenna experience preferred

-IT networking skills preferred

-Knowledge of FCC Rules and Regulations

-Requires excellent documentation and reporting of wiring and equipment changes at the studio and transmitter sites

-Ability to provide support 24/7 in case of equipment failure; available to work various hours/days, including weekends and holidays

-FCC General Class License or SBE Certifications are a plus

-A valid driver’s license, satisfactory completion of a motor vehicle record check, and, if the position requires use of applicant’s own vehicle, proof of insurance, is required

-Strong verbal and writing communications skills

-Strong proven time management skills including the ability to multi-task in a multiple project environment
