Photojournalist Entravision Communications Corporation (NYSE: EVC) one of the fastest growing Hispanic multi-media companies seeks a top notch Photojournalist with experience for our Washington, DC television station (Univision affiliate).
Responsibilities Responsible for, but not limited to, news coverage, special events, newsworthy events including breaking news, general news, sports and feature stories relevant to the Washington DC community. Shoot, edit and produce packages content.
Qualifications/Requirements • A minimum of 2 years experience working in a top 50 market television stations as a Photojournalist • BA, or equivalent, in Journalism, Broadcasting, Communications and/or related field • Able to work a Flexible Schedule and Shifts, including nights, weekends and overnights • Must be willing to work at the station in Washington, DC. • Must be able to shoot and edit video • Must be fluent in English and Spanish, both written and verbal • Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States • Valid Driver’s License with good driving record • Have Sound News Judgment • Advanced computer skills preferred • Excellent communications skills in Spanish and English • Ability to cover a beat • Must be able to work independently as well as part of a team
Desired Characteristics • Attention to detail • Knowledge of DC Preferred • Working Knowledge of non-linear editing, Premier and Final Cut • Working Knowledge of Panasonic P2 • Have sound news judgment and photographic eye • Contribute to the news and creative concepts, as well as development process • Newsworthy and creative video treatments
The Photojournalist performance will be reviewed by the News Director.
